The WSSO, led by Jennifer Sacher Wiley, has developed over a dozen original, scripted "concert dramas" ideal for students in grades K-6.  For the last three seasons we offered productions for schools in our region, teaching concepts such as orchestral texture, and rhythm & tempo.  Our 2025 program, "Vacation with the Orchestra", teaches about music and culture.  We collaborated with a Production Team of middle school students from Camp Curtin Academy and Saint Patrick School, and the Eagle View middle school orchestra.

Works performed were excerpts from Cesar Franck's Symphony No. 2, Bizet's "Carmen" Suites, a Rossini Overture, a Gilbert & Sullivan medley, and a "Climb Every Mountain" sing-along!

Students also learned about instruments of the orchestra by meeting featured wind & brass WSSO musicians.
